Ready for the holiday of a lifetime? Check this out: Greek K-Studio joined Lambs and Lions' Michael Schickinger and interior decorator Annabell Kutucu to create a charming seaside hotel called Scorpios. Set on an idyllic beach on Mykonos Island, the building was crafted from whitewashed stones and decorated with local natural materials that celebrate traditional craftsmanship. Straw furniture, knitted hammocks, wicker baskets and rough wooden furniture are all part of this laid-back bohemian resort in a Greek paradise.
Scorpios sits on its own peninsula on the south of the island, overlooking the deep blue Aegean Sea. The 6,000-sqm-beach property offers a place to chill out, enjoy the ocean breeze and eat fresh Greek delicacies. It comprises a boutique hotel with its own restaurant and nightclub, all crafted from local natural materials.
All shelters are built from a combination of local whitewashed stone and wood, paying homage to classic Cycladic architecture. Annabell Kutucu, in charge of the interior decoration, worked around a ‘simple leisure’ theme that celebrates traditional craftsmanship and organic materials. She filled both indoor and outdoor spaces with straw furniture, knitted hammocks, rough wooden chairs and wicker baskets to create a slice of paradise on earth.
