We can always count on designer Benjamin Rollins Caldwell to wow us with his upcycled furniture designs, so we were thrilled to see him showing at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair for New York Design Week. As always, his booth did not disappoint, and one of his designs – this money table filled with 787 real dollar bills – caught our attention right off the bat. Dubbed the “Impractically Comfortable Low Table,” this extravagant piece of furniture bling is certain to turn heads, but if you owe anyone money, you might want to hold off on inviting anyone over to see it!

You really should not encourage such poor design practices….what is so amazing about this? Other than the fact that there are 787 “real” dollars in it? I would rather have seen the designer sacrifice the money in an effort to make a “real” statement. A prime example of a decent idea without true commitment.
