Unique and eye-catching, Bright Woods’ collection [4] of illuminated chairs and coffee tables are sure to capture your attention with their engaging glow. We discovered this charming collection of furniture at Milan Design Week [5], and we’re enamored with the unique aesthetic that’s equal parts alien nation and woodland tranquility. These radiant pieces, made from wood and natural resin strips, were designed by Giancarlo Zema [6] for the Avanzini Group and are currently on display at the Design in Nature exhibition in the Triennale Design Museum [7] as part of the Milan Furniture Fair [5].
For a combination of natural materials – wood and resin - the Bright Woods offer a vision of futuristic style as they glow in the dark. However, the natural curves of the objects reflect the aim of Giancarlo Zema [6] in finding inspiration for his designs through nature. With a mix of natural beauty and illuminated resin layers flashing a number of different colours including pink, orange, purple and white, this collection becomes the perfect addition to any indoor or outdoor space.
