Viesso’s self-guided online customization process is super easy, even for those who aren’t the most computer savy. You’ll find the resulting products to be well made, durable, and exactly to your specifications. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can try-out several of Viesso’s pieces first hand before purchasing in their Santa Monica Showroom. If for any reason you can’t find exactly what you want on Viesso‘s website, they are more then willing to work with you to make your design a reality. For those of you interested in seeing if your design skills are store front worthy, try out your design in Viesso‘s Design Contest. Entries are due May 14th, 2007 and the winner will be announced on their website on May 28th. First place receives $1000 store credit to bring your design (or one of from the current line) to life.

Nice effort… but one thing seems lacking. There’s no mention of how these products can be recycled. Is : “(a) made from recycled materials, (b) made from natural materials, and (c) manufactured in a manner that reduces environmental impact” good enough ? OR… should there be a (d), which states: “all manufactured items are returnable to their comapny of manufacture, who will disassemble them into parts that are actually recycled.” ? And if so… who pays the costs ? Making something that could possibly be recycled is not the same as making something that at its inception has a built in recycling process & protocol. The latter, in my opinion, is GREEN… anything is is just posing as green.
We are a new company but have a lifetime of interest in all things Green.
Using only high quality materials, we don’t expect to see any products discarded for some time. Until the pieces can no longer be used, the best course of action for ecologically aware consumers is to sell or give their goods to another consumer, thereby avoiding disposal altogether.
However, should a product require disposal, we are currently establishing a comprehensive program whereby consumers can return their Viesso goods for complete recycling at no charge. Until such a program is finalized, we are happy to talk with our customers about returning their products to ensure proper reuse of as many parts as possible.
