firstly, small and light sportscars like the tesla need less batteries for the same range than a big heavy passenger car.

Also the type of people who can afford them right now usually own plenty of different vehicles. The vehicles they spend the most money on they want to enjoy and show off and who wants to show off their unsporty passenger car?

I'm quite intrigued, though it will take more than a sexy package to tempt me from my Tesla. BTW - family cars are next, but like all technologies you need early adopters to help test the mold.

This car is really sexy, but how about something that can handle groceries and a baby seat? How about a car that car be driven in the snow?

I know this is a proof-of-technology platform, but it seems like the only electric cars being produced are sports cars of limited practical use. If these cars are actually going to become mainstream, they have to put the technology in a package for families.

Love the idea of using a micro-turbine!
