Designer Cecilia Valentine finds a new home for fur and feathers in fashion with her living jewelry line. Called “Fur is Alive,” her pieces incorporate mice and birds to comment on the act of killing for the sake of a wardrobe. Not truly meant to be worn, the line raises questions over human beings’ relationship with beauty and death. Hoping to raise eco-consciousness through her work, Valentine showcases the beauty of natural forms and reminds wearers of their everyday choices.

I think this is horrible. No animal should be caged like jewelry and worn. I am totally against what this designer is doing. There are plenty of other ways to make a statement. This is just wrong in my opinion.
