Mallorca’s Villa Chameleon is Embedded with LEDs to Create a Color-Changing Facade

Dubbed the Chameleon Villa ^[6], this elaborate property in Mallorca ^[7] is coated in a glimmering surface of embedded crystals and LEDs ^[8] that can be programmed to change color. Located in Son Vida, the unusual light effect stands out in the surrounding rolling hills of the island and look stunning against the backdrop of the ocean. The dazzling color-changing facade makes the villa, which is currently on the market, an uniquely adorned architectural work.

The region is renowned for exclusive design and Chameleon Villa would fit the bill: the design is a three-building concept spread over three floors to include swimming pools, jacuzzi, fitness area and even its own spa. At over 2400 square meters, the home is certainly not marketed as green or sustainable building, ^[9] but its stone floors ^[10]and sun-drenched terraces could help the sizable property reduce its energy output. The imaginative, striking design is listed at 29 million Euros, so be careful of falling head-over-heels for the striking home.
