The model in the picture is not standing on the couch while kicking, presumably because she's not retarded, but is standing on the ground next to it. It's not marketed as platform but just as a convenient way to store a heavy bag - which you use while standing on the floor. I have over twenty-five years of study in karate, twelve as an instructor. During this tenure I have seen many different types of injuries.
