Chanel Builds a Life-Size Plane for Its Spring 2012 Couture Week Fashion Show

While Chanel may be known for class and elegance, we’re having a hard time finding either in their Spring 2012 Paris Couture Week Show. For their show of excess in a depressed economy, Karl Lagerfeld commisioned an aircraft built to scale to house the show for the line. Click ahead for details and to see photos of the plane, made from anodized aluminum and equipped with an extra-wide 164-foot aisle, 180-degree swivel seats, and a double-C monogrammed carpet.
