Spotted by CollabCubed on the streets of New York, this custom built lamp is the fantastic creation of designer Christian DuCharme. DuCharme has made an art out of repurposing paper cups, coffee filters, and plastic spoons, creating dazzling and dramatic lighting fixtures from the recycled materials. Currently, installed at the Lafayette Espresso Bar and Market, this along with his ‘300 Cups Lamp’ are enchanting and enlightening visitors on the merits of reuse.

Installed at the Lafayette Espresso Bar and Market, the 300 Cups Lamp is exactly that, a light made entirely from 300 paper cups.

The multitalented Swiss artist has previously worked in interior and set design, and has now successfully turned his hand at lamp design.

All DuCharme’s primary materials are reclaimed as creative mediums — and boy, don’t they look smashing!
