The award-winning pumpkin room comes in two different varieties: either a complete mini-room that can be installed in just about any office, or partitions comprised of just two of the polycarbonate panels wrapped around steel. The entire structure is illuminated from the inside – creating a glowing lightbox effect [1].

Completely modular and easy to transport [2], this particular pumpkin room was installed on the first floor of edg Creatives’ offices in Beijing, China. A minimalist intervention that completely (but not magically) transforms the ambience of the entire office space, the pumpkin room has understandably received a variety of innovation awards.
