Gallery: Citylab Design Studio Unveils Bamboo Lenggong Valley Visitor C...

Citylab Design Studio just unveiled their winning proposal for an archaeological visitor centre in Lenggong Valley, Malaysia – the UNESCO World Heritage Site where the skeleton of the 10,000-year-old Perak Man was found (among other artifacts dated from the Paleolithic era to the Bronze Age). The visitor center will be made from bamboo, which can be grown and cultivated on-site, and it will reintroduce heritage tropical forest at the palm oil estate. The project is designed to generate interest towards archaeology among the local community, and it will feature live archaeological excavations and an elevated tropical forest canopy walk.
