Gallery: Old Trains Transformed into t...

Despite its name, there isn't much argument over the fact that the Controversy Inn made up of four trains recycled into cozy, themed bed and breakfast suites is the coolest way to lodge and learn about upcycled design at the same time. Located on the Controversy Farm in Hoogwoud, the Netherlands, the fun eco hotel compartments feature tons of other vintage items recycled into new things - like tabletops made of old traffic signs and even a bed made of a boat. All aboard!

Each made of reclaimed trams that used to run in Germany and Amsterdam years ago, there are four suites available for guests to stay in. The compartments have been subdivided in three different themes (Italian, French and English-American) and each comes with its own matching type of breakfast. Talk about giving the term “room and board” a whole new meaning!
