UM Project's awesome new range of lighting designs is a cool collection of retro, robot-inspired lamps. The Brooklyn-based studio showcased their diverse series of quirky lamp designs, dubbed Craft System, at last weekend's Wanted Design show during NY Design Week.
From a stilt-standing table light to a minimalistic robotic shape, the lamps are all original and crafted using a small selection of simple bases topped with creative lamp fittings. The futuristic designs are the brainchild of UM Project founder François Chambard. Chambard is committed to working with local and regional partners to keep the products based in New York City. With around 75% of the products manufactured in their Brooklyn shop, UM Project are maintaining a sense of local production with their cool lamp designs.
