Gallery: COP16: Photo Exhibits Issue Call to Protect Mexico’s Natural B...

The Museum of Mexico in Your Senses (Mexico en tus Sentidos) is a giant gallery in the Climate Change Village. Its photos depict the Mexican landscape, trades, cultures, folk dress and people.

There are mountains and caverns and food and faces. There are flamingos and shoots and smiles. Of all the photos on display, two exhibitions take place at the Climate Change Village, set up in between the COP16 and downtown Cancun. One of these is a touring, professional project; the other is a showcase from the Yucatan School of the Arts. Another very different photo display is up at the Klimaforum, an alternative conference outside of Cancun. Yet another exhibit is up in Cancunmesse, accompanying Mexico’s massive national pavilion. Each exhibit fights its own battle for a moment with your eyeballs and a chance to highlight the precious landscape and resources of Mexico, underscoring the importance of the 16th UN Climate Change Conference.
