When the town of Mizoen in the French Alps needed an information center, they called upon Hérault Arnod Architectes. Rather than building a typical wooden chalet, the firm created a unique corten steel shelter that pops out of the surrounding rock. Over the years the center's durable facade has weathered to a reddish rust color that matches traces of iron oxide present on its ‘host’ rock.
