Covet, Covet This, Eco-friendly fashion, sustainable style sundays, green fashion, Jill Danyelle

Covet is a young line for men and women that we are really excited about. Currently, about 50% of the stylish, cozy collection of sweaters, jackets and tops is made with eco-textiles like organic cotton, bamboo and soybean (other fabrics include handwoven cottons from India). Apparently the entire Spring 2007 collection will be environmentally friendly. Tara St. James designs the collection and her degree in menswear is evident in the impeccable cuts and tailoring. Aside from using environmentally friendly materials, the line is also made in socially responsible factories, two of which are ISO certified.

I was recently in eco-boutique Gomi, here in NYC, when a Covet shipment arrived – and I have to say that “Covet” is definitely the most appropriate name for this line. The super soft bamboo pieces have apparently been flying off of the shelves. Information about nationwide availability and phone orders can be found on the website.

    Way to go Tara!

I think one of the nicest things about this line (other than the obviously amazing fabric choices) are all the little details best seen in person. Small touches created just for the wearer, and really intricate techniques.

Once again, congrats, all the hard work pays off I guess!

I just checked out their fall collection on their site. It’s just gorgeous. I’m glad stores near where I’m currently based carry the brand. I’ll have to spread the word!
