Gallery: Craig Folds Five Manipulates Money into Amazing Origami Art

Craig Folds Five transforms spare dollar bills into amazing examples of origami art. From animals to flowers, humans and other objects, check out these incredibly intricate miniature works of art folded using the ancient Japanese technique.

Craig Folds Five’s intricate art is made from US dollars, and each figure is created from a folded uncut note using no glue or any tools apart from the artist’s hands. The money’s illustrations, numbers and drawings are cleverly used to give the artpiece those extra little details that make it special.

From a fisherman on a boat to flowers to animals, lots of previously unseen origami figures are part of Craig Folds Five’s fantastic collection. Craig Folds Five also triggers an awkward feeling in our troubled economy, forcing us to consider our own relationship with money.

Lovely work. The fish figure could be used as an example to raise awareness for the issue of over-fishing. When the fish are all gone, are we going to eat dollars?
