Tiny houses and efficient urban apartments are growing in popularity. While both come with lots of eco-friendly benefits—like cheaper utility bills and less room for clutter—small dwellings require furniture capable of performing more than one task. One surprise guest can crash on the couch, but what happens when there are two? The Palazzo Sofa Bed, a new offering from space-saving expert Resource Furniture, solves this problem in a matter of seconds. This sofa morphs into a bunk bed that can comfortably accommodate adults or children, turning a living area into a guest room with one simple motion.

The Palazzo bunk beds are available with low or high armrests and come equipped with wood-slatted bed springs and removable mattresses. The systems also include folding head boards and foot barriers.

Worried whether the transforming sofa is really safe for full-size adults? “The bunk bed system includes exceptional safety features, including a locking mechanism and a complete barrier around the top bunk”, explains Resource Furniture. “It also meets important sustainability and safety standards, including CARB 2 compliance and California fire retardancy standards.”

The fully upholstered system comes with a removable cover for easy dry cleaning. The systems are offered with a wheel mechanism to easily move the bed around the room, making it even easier to transform your space.

“This innovative bed system is a great complement to our continuously expanding collection of offerings that provide multi-functional solutions,” said Ron Barth, co-founder of Resource Furniture. “It is designs like the Palazzo that are changing the way people perceive space and function in their environment.”
