While the rest of us queue up for hours to
get the next iPad or other Macintosh products,
Re:form Designs has devised a creative way to give the company's old products new life. One of their latest designs, Crunching Numbers is a modern coffee table made from either G3 or G4 desktop computers and other materials,
approximately 70% of which are recycled.
There are two crunching numbers designs. The first is made with two disused G3 towers held in place with heavy duty coil suspension rings taken from small trucks or SUVs and topped with a smooth glass panel. The second is made with up-cycled G4 towers and features customizable finishings to suit each customer’s taste.
Starting at $600, Re:form’s one-of-a-kind tables not only divert e-waste from the landfill but they epitomize the kind of out-of-the-box design that we believe will ultimately save the world!
