
This hybrid lighting design by David Markus utilizes two methods of power. During the day, light is brought into the room through a parabolic lens on the roof. At night, the lamp provides light from a set of low-power LED’s beneath the shade. By using the sun to power the device, the lamp to consumes little to no energy from the grid.
