Australia bring us another good example of how beautiful both small and prefab can be. The deck_house, by noek_design, was officially launched at “Sydney in Bloom 05″ as an outdoor experience environment. Not only does it make a great outdoor room, but this little shed would also be perfect for a guest room, office, or even a personal habitat, should you be so inclined. Measuring at 5.4 meters square, its tiny footprint is designed to contain little more than a double bed; however, an outdoor shower or kitchen can be accommodated into your plan. Additionally, the layout can be modularly expanded to fit your needs.

Sherry has it right, I’d love to put up a beautiful prefab like this one, but the second fall hits and it turns to freezing rain/snow/hail and monster snow drifts start to threaten the landscape I doubt that this thing would hold up. Oh I live in Canada too :)

I would like to thank you for the many people who have responded to us via your website, and I really appreciate the way in which you have been able to capture the essence of my design in wording it accordingly. I believe Lloyd was responsible, and unfortunately can not find his direct email address, so; if you could be so kind as to make a mention to him !
    Thank you again !

lovely! this is very similar to a “habitat” whose plans are available as blueprints through readymade magazine for 35$, and they say the total cost to build it yourself is around $1500.

Looks incredible. This deck house needs to be decked out with some bean bags from Ambient Lounge

This looks great, and I realize Australia has a vastily warmer climate than Canada, but I sure wish some of these prefab structures took Canadian winters into account. It’s minus 24 celsius today and I don’t think an outdoor shower is a viable option.
