Darsky wanted customers to be able to see the authentic 5,000 pound wood-fired oven brought all the way from Naples, so he tore down one whole side of the shipping container [1] and fitted it with framed glass doors. And we have to say, this combined with the black paint and oven gives the roaming pizzeria incomparable style.

The wood-fired oven [2] is on the second level and – reaching temperatures of 800 degrees – cooks up delicious pies in 60 seconds flat. These are then delivered to the cashier on the lower level via a special rack. But we have to warn you: all of this goodness doesn’t come cheap. Del Popolo cost a whopping $180,000 to build, so Darksy will be flipping pies for a long time to pay it off!
