Working with scientists and civil services, Giacomo Piovan [8] created a system that turns contaminated soil into compressed blocks. The system employs the use of healing plants that are able to absorb and store precious metals as valuable future resources.

We are very sad to see Gijs Bakker (posing here for us with a T-shirt gift by “ex-designer”, ex-DAE graduate Martí Guixé [18]) leaving his beloved job [19]. His departure is said to to be due to “discontent with educational reform plans under development”. He is however very much looking forward seeing his new design-adventures. Good luck to Gijs!
