If you’re an architect looking for a chance to spread you ideas and designs worldwide, then the FUTURE International Architecture Competition is the forum you’ve been waiting for! This year FUTURE is launching an international ideas competition to identify the best visionary urban proposals that can stimulate the built landscapes of Hangzhou, Nanjing, Madrid and Barcelona in a profound way. More than just a call for ideas, the aim of the competition is to offer opportunities to all architecture students and young architects around the world that are not always available through other selection methods. Several well-known architects have launched their careers after their designs were selected as winning schemes by FUTURE. The deadline to register for the competition is June 30, 2011.

AWARD/PRIZE

9 winning entrants will receive cash prizes totalling 10,000€ or 90,000¥ for each site: Hangzhou, Nanjing, Madrid and Barcelona. The design jury will meet in September 2011 to select winning projects and honourable mentions. Winners will be notified of the competition results directly. A list of winning projects will be posted on the FUTURE website as well as published in FUTURE magazines.

Winning entrants will receive cash prizes with distribution as follows:
First prize: 5.000 Euros or 45.000 Yuans
Second prize: 2.000 Euros or 18.000 Yuans
3 mentions: 1.000 Euros or 9.000 Yuans each one
5 finalists: as acknowledgment

A limited number of 3 honourable mentions and 5 finalists will be awarded at the jury's discretion.

JURY

An international jury comprised of working professionals in Spain and China.
