Do you have a new, not-yet-produced idea that has the potential to positively impact the future of humankind? If so, Ars Electronica wants to hear it—and will award a €7,500 [THE NEXT IDEA] Voestalpine Art and Technology Grant to the winning design. The competition seeks interdisciplinary ideas and projects that can come from a variety of backgrounds, from the technological and artistic to the scientific and social entrepreneurship. The projects should introduce novel ways of looking at social problems and deliver simple but effective ways to solve them. The submissions should include 3-minute video documentation, a concept description, and a production plan. The deadline for submissions is March 6, 2015.

AWARD/PRIZE

The winner will receive a cash stipend in the amount of €7,500 and the opportunity to develop the idea further with support provided by Ars Electronica.

The recipient will be announced at a Prix Ars Electronica press conference and honored at the Gala during the Ars Electronica Festival. The recipient’s project/concept will be presented in the Prix Ars Electronica’s CyberArts catalog and at the Ars Electronica Festival later that same year. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Every submission must include the following elements: 3-minute video documentation, concept description, production plan.

In the video documentation, the project’s producer will personally present his/her concept. See more details on the competition website.
