, Mysteryland Music Festival, Sustainable Design Challenge, green design competition, design competition, eco design competition

Producers of Mysteryland (ID&T) and MATTE FINISH creative agency are excited to announce Mysteryland music festival’s Sustainable Design Challenge. Mysteryland USA will be take place at Bethel Woods, NY, the site of the original Woodstock Festival. Just like its historical counterpart, it features a unique, outdoor atmosphere, and embraces sustainable design as a part of its core mission.

We are calling upon the creative young minds of NYC’s top design schools to take on the challenge of creating the concept and design for a sustainable and functional installation at Mysteryland 2014 in Woodstock, New York.

This design challenge invites students from New York City’s top art schools to utilize their academic background to create a sustainable and functional installation and promote their own unique vision. While the students receive a chance to approach an inspiring, exciting project, it also serves as an amazing opportunity to enhance and promote their portfolio and experience an incredible international event. Additionally, it gives hands-on experience to students, and instructors may utilize the challenge as a supplement to current curriculum. We encourage faculty to supervise and grade this challenge as an academic project and serve as part of the judging process by ensuring participating teams adhere to challenge guidelines. Finally, it offers the student a chance to have his or her work featured at one of America’s most high-profile music events.
