Calling all green fashionistas!
The Designers & Agents international fashion showcase kicks off THIS WEEKEND (May 4th-6th) here in NYC! Inhabitat is partnering with Designers & Agents this year, and the Sustainable Style team of Abigail Doan and Jill Fehrenbacher will be on site each day to offer up green fashion ideas and sustainable design tips for D&A attendees. As the exclusive media sponsor and curator of D&A’s Green Room, Inhabitat is looking forward to a weekend filled with future-forward fashion and gorgeous eco-design from the best of this year’s talented designer and agent line-up!
As part of D&A’s ever-expanding green initiative, the ‘Green Room’ was launched last year in 2007. This environmentally focused design space will host an array of gorgeous green furniture and home decor, sustainable fabric installations, green style accessories, as well as valuable resources and information on living and designing with a sustainable outlook.

We cannot wait to get a first-hand glimpse of the latest in eco-fashion & green design innovation thanks to the momentum and energy that has resulted from D&A Green’s inaugural year. Stay tuned for more coverage on Jill Fehrenbacher’s hand-picked curation of ‘The Green Room’ with a gallery of sustainable style furniture designers like Uhuru, Molo, BraveSpace, and Daniel Michalik.
Also on-site as a featured installation artist and greening-agent for D&A’s Spring 2008 event – our favorite green street artist, Edina Tokodi. This moss-goddess-muralist has kept us totally captivated with her green urban graffiti and her recent greening of Philadelphia’s metro.
We are also looking forward to getting a closer look at Loup Charmant’s Pure Collection as well as other great designers recently featured on Inhabitat – design goodness like EDUN, John Patrick Organic, and Ekovaruhuset.
So for the those of you who are planning to attend D&A, please come join us! Designers & Agents is May 4th-6th, starting this Sunday. More information on times and venues is available at the D&A website. Come by and share in the greening of fashion and style for all!
