Turning trash into cool new treasures is a growing trend that we can definitely get behind. For this year’s Barcelona Design Festival [1]Transfodesign [2] organized an event to turn unwanted junk into Trashkitchens. Over the course of two days, five design teams took on the challenge to create fully functional mobile kitchen units built from discarded materials — proving that trash can certainly be given a second life! The event was sponsored by Heineken and supported by ELISAVA Escola Superior de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona.
