Gallery: NAIAS 2013: We Take a Spin on Current Motors’ Electric Super S...

Our only concern was that the charging port, locked beneath the drivers feet, seemed to be enclosed in a plastic that would scuff easily

Current showed us the features of the scooter, which include a digital instrument cluster and a mobile app that allows drivers to check up on the progress of a charge in real-time, monitor their bike’s performance, and much more. We were pretty impressed with the Super Scooter. The base model runs just under $10k, with the Super Scooter sport model costing you $11.5k. The bikes come in seven colors with 27 wraparound contrast color designs for great customization. Our only concern was that the charging port, locked beneath the drivers feet, seemed to be enclosed in a plastic that would scuff easily. This detail aside, the electric scooters seemed well-made and fun to drive. Check out the gallery pics for the details, and keep an eye out for a full test drive one of these days when we visit their Ann Arbor headquarters.

Sure would like to see a fully enclosed version of the Current Scooters. Imagine the fairing of the Organic Transit ELF and the backend of this set of cycles. A 3 wheel version of this with the fairing would be even more awesome!
