Diesel Debuts “Only the Brave” Designer Fixie Bike in Collaboration with Pinarello

Fixie bikes [5], the one-speed tools of bike messengers and hard-core city [6] riders, are usually purpose-built tools. But design houses [7] Diesel and Pinarello [8] thought fixies could use some prettying up, and have teamed up to create this two-tone one-speed, called “Only the Brave.”

Fausto Pinarello said of the collaboration: “Pinarello and Diesel [10]… are part of two different industries: they make people feel comfortable and we make people feel tired–but we share the typical Italian creativity and the constant desire to astonish and surprise our clients!” The “Only the Brave” fixie is already available in Diesel and Pinarello stores and can be purchased for about $1200 with green or black accents.
