Good question. After all, you don’t want to have to keep cleaning out dead plants and replacing them, right? All of my mini terrariums have continued to thrive, but I guess it really depends on how hardy the plants are and what kinds of conditions you have in your home. For more tips on how to keep things fresh in your terrarium, this is a great resource: http://inhabitat.com/diy-how-to-make-your-own-green-terrarium-to-keep-or-give-away-for-the-holidays/
That’s a great idea Syd. Or you could even make a little stand for it like so: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/23tXmA/inhabitat.com/greenholidaygiftguide/make-your-own-gifts-ready/light-buld-terrarium-2
What would you do with it after the holidays? Hang them in your window?
Will the terrarium continue to thrive, or will it eventually die? What could someone do to help it thrive longer in the event that it does die?
Hi Bob,
You can find one here: http://clossette.com/large-glass-diy-terrarium-ornament/
Thanks!
where does one get a clear glass ‘orb’?
