The shop assistant unveiled his trick for us, he uses a vacuum cup for lifting the glass and changing the products exposed underneath.

Piled up tires with round glass tops make for wonderful display tables in this West Berlin shop. Repurposed tires also get a new life as shelves for displaying books and hand clutches, and even a changing room and umbrella holder. But the most striking feature in the shop is the beautiful chandelier that hangs at the center of the space. The fixture was created using LED lights and the polished tires adds a sparkling yet rough edge to the look.

If you are out and about Berlin, you can pay DOM a visit at Lotte-Lenya-Bogen 548. Be sure to give ‘Mad’ the dog a pat on the head — even he’s got a new bed made from a tire.
