Spanish designers In-Tenta just unveiled a tiny, portable hotel suite that can pop up practically anywhere in the world. The DROP Box is a low-impact wooden micro-hotel that can be “dropped” in virtually any location, with little impact on the surrounding environment. The modular eco-structures were inspired by travelers who’d love to see the world’s most remote destinations in sustainable style.
The wooden modules are manufactured off-site using lightweight materials that facilitate easier transportation with less energy use. From production to installation, the entire DROP process is designed to have minimal impact on the environment, making it a practical option for travelers who’d like to reduce their ecological footprint.
The tiny structures come in one or two bedroom units, and every DROP Box comes with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace that offers amazing views of the surrounding landscape. Even the bathrooms have large glass walls, allowing guests to commune with nature while au natural.
