For now, Dubai Pearl’s claims to be sustainable are the classic case of a company saying, “We say we are green, therefore we are.” Until we see more details, and view evidence that responsible building practices are core to Dubai Pearl’s construction and after opening, everyday operations, we view this “sustainable development” with suspicion.

    I note yet another set of architects and building services engineers are now listed as designers for this project. Hope the current group last and receive all fee payments before being replaced by another group of sucked in suckers.

    this project is a joke…how many different consultants and designers have been sacked to date…and fully paid?

    Hi Leon

    Dubai Pearl is a great concept with a solid shareholder (Al Fahim), however day to day management is dodgy and the project is currently on hold:

    As for the greenwashing I share your concern as long as the current management is at the reigns, their credibility is low among investors/owners, hence any promise from that side should be processed with some reservation,
