Rotterdam-based designer Rachel Griffin created her multi-functional “Sum of the Parts” furniture collection by questioning why our objects are designed to be static when almost everything else in our lives is dynamic. Her transforming furniture system consists of various interlocking parts that can be playfully mixed and matched according to a user’s particular needs. Made from twelve pine wood parts and a polyurethane foam cushion, the collection is much more than the sum of its parts.
