Gallery: Dwell Houses We Love – Vote For Your Favorite One!

Wolford/Keller

This renovation of a 1947 Frank Robert (student of Frank Loyd Wright) home is located near the Sequoia National Park next to a waterfall. The owners wanted to stay true to the home's mid-century roots with their furnishings, but updated it with eco-friendly materials like bamboo, seagrass and slate flooring, and reed wallpaper.

All of the houses are, of course, stunning, but you know how we are – we’re partial to eco-friendly materials, energy efficiency, natural daylighting and renewable energy. We found six houses that piqued our interest, many of which had a strong focus on green interiors and daylighting. The grand-prize winner will be announced at Dwell on Design in Los Angeles this summer, and the home will also be featured in the 10th Anniversary Issue! Good luck in the competition and we can’t wait to see who wins!
