Rising from the landscape of Girona, Spain, Espai Ridaura is a building constructed with extreme consideration for its environment. The vegetation that was “stolen” from the ground now lives on the shelter’s green roof, attracting local wildlife while insulating the interior. Capella Garcia Arquitectura used earth, gravel and cement to design the center, which hosts a variety of cultural activities including performances, dances, small fairs and conferences.
