If your youngster likes to help out in the kitchen [1], a fun new work table teaches kids that growing and preparing your own food can be fun and mess-free! Eat Play Grow is the latest design in educational children’s furniture from innovator Ruth Vatcher [2]. The table features an herb sprouting tray, chopping board, watering pot, and a felt storage system. Designed to teach children [3] how to grow and prepare their own food, it also promotes healthy living and eating habits.

Designed to fit in a small interior [4] such as a kitchen or bedroom, Eat Play Grow is a simple oak table, with the felt storage system not only eliminating drawers and extra weight, but also reducing the use of many materials. The clean, subtle design of the piece makes it both timeless and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Vatcher’s other designs include Eat Play Work [5], a bento box with an herb garden and thermal heater to allow users to grow and eat their own food at work. Similar to the children’s table, this piece takes the user back to the basics, reminding them the importance of preparing and enjoying a healthy lifestyle.
