It looks wonderfully comfy! Sadly it's yet another prototype that isn't for sale. But at least the good ideas are flowing strong!

The really significant question running through my mind is "It looks great, but what does it FEEL like to SIT in?"

I agree -- furniture that is easy to reupholster! There are quite a few designs that are easy to reupholster (some IKEA, Calico Corners, Pottery Barn, etc.), but styles are limited. I make washable slip-covers for my furniture, but it is a major undertaking. Even better, furniture that comes with removable, washable upholstery. Again, there are some available, but styles are limited.

I have an idea. What if upholstered furniture was all designed so it was easy to reupholster. That way when the fabric gets old, all you need is some new fabric to breathe another 10 years of life into a chair. I see so many chairs getting thrown out that would be fine if the fabric was reupholstered. So many designs are designed so you can't redo it yourself and therefore are often forced to buy a new chair. Anyways, theres my 2c idea.
