U2′s Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson, are the founders of the African-focused fashion label EDUN, and true to its rocker heritage, EDUN’s Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week was tough and girly, soft but also edgy. The duality of the “EDUN girl” was on full display, as olive-drab patchwork fraternized freely with parachute silks in stylized camouflage while hand-crocheted patterns, clung to swathes of broderie anglaise and combat organic cottons.
