Egypt's Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli recently announced plans to build a giant pyramid-shaped skyscraper in Sheikh Zayed City. Named Zayed Crystal Spark, the project includes several large urban projects and a centrally-positioned skyscraper inspired by Egypt's most famous architectural shape. Once completed, the towering structure will be the tallest in Egypt.
The 650-foot-high pyramid-like structure is expected to become the country’s tallest building and will be surrounded by various government, commercial and entertainment spaces. The project will be built through a public/private partnership established between real estate developers and the New Urban Communities Authority.
The project will be constructed over an area of 8.5 million square feet located on the main road and overlooking the July 26 road. The name of the architect attached to the project still hasn’t been announced.
