Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and generally a man of great mystery, but a few nights ago he did something most billionaire businessmen just don’t do. He guest starred in an episode of The Big Bang Theory, appearing as himself. We won’t give away any plot spoilers, but we can tell you that nerds and Teslaholics everywhere must have been glued to their TV screens when Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) met his hero while serving the homeless. In the episode entitled “The Platonic Permutation,” Wolowitz finds himself washing dishes in a soup kitchen alongside the famous serial entrepreneur.

CBS released a few screenshots of the episode in question weeks in advance, although the news flew under the radar of even the most devout Tesla fans. The shots seemed to show Musk having a good time with his guest spot, and the scene between Musk and Wolowitz delights for the entire two and a half minutes. Although Musk’s facial expression is famously deadpan, he yuks it up with a few one-liners, and Wolowitz attempts to impress his idol by bragging about his two-month stint at the International Space Station.

This isn’t Musk’s first foray into television, although it is the first time he has actually appeared in the flesh on a prime time show. In January 2015, he guest starred in an episode of The Simpsons titled “The Musk Who Fell to Earth”, playing himself. His Hollywood resume is rounded out by a 2005 guest appearance as the pilot of his own plane in the film Thank You For Smoking, a brief scene in which Musk opened the door for Robert Duvall.
