Energy company Enfinity [4] opened two beautiful new photovoltaic farms in Le Mées, France last month, proving that solar power [5] can be an aesthetically-pleasing form of renewable energy. These enormous energy landscapes occupy over 80 acres of land and are capable of generating enough carbon-free electricity to to power 9,000 homes.

Enfinity [4]‘s new solar farms span the lengths of the rolling French hills, while grass surrounds the panels, encouraging sheep to graze freely. Designed with the future in mind, the panels were installed without laying concrete foundations, so after two decades have passed and the solar panels are removed, a huge expanse of healthy grassland will remain.
