Now in its seventh year, the Esthetica Showcase at the Spring 2013 London Fashion Week once again brought groundbreaking eco-fashion by green designers from around the world to the British Capital’s catwalks. The fashion exhibit was launched to provide a platform highlighting designers who work at the cutting-edge of sustainable, ecologically-responsible practices, and this season’s show certainly lived up to Esthetica’s goals. Organized in conjunction with the British Fashion Council and curated by Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci (founders of green label From Somewhere), Esthetica showcased the collections of 15 designers who variously explore the use of locally-sourced, upcycled and recycled materials, create ethically sourced jewelery and work within fair trade practices. Click through to see the eye-catching work of these fascinating designers.
