Dubbed Fallen Maples, this custom home was designed to blend in harmoniously with the heavily wooded two-acre lot it sits on in the Cascade Mountain foothills east of Seattle. The house has several cool eco-friendly features such as the use of felled trees for the cabinetry and interior wood trim. The great room’s wall of glass and interior details such as the kitchen’s wood bench and the great room’s architectural “tree,” fuse the indoors with the surrounding area. The project holds a four-star Built Green™ certification.
