You are being a troll. The NYTimes story clearly states that the dumpster pools are being donated and will not cost the city a dime. Now it doesnt seem much the pools are 8 feet, not a big size and there are only 3 of them but if you take into account the man power and machine power and designing that adds up to quite a sum, a sum that could go to promoting a city pool to stay open, a city pool that can take more swimmers. Three weeks may not seem so long but in a climate of 90 to 100 degree heat daily it can and is long. I dont want to be the Grinch that stole Summer but even opening one of the closed public pools would have accommodated ten fold the amount of children, adults and seniors that may be able to take advantage of these three 8 foot pools even if they will be around for three weeks.
