FedEx Express is more than doubling its electric vehicle fleet, adding twenty-four all-electric vehicles and introducing electric service to New York City, Chicago and Memphis. It’s also adding more hybrid-electrics, using composite vehicles and upgrading over a tenth of its conventional vehicle fleet to more energy-efficient vehicles.

It’s great to hear that big companies can also be smart companies. This is a very wise move and clearly it is great to be the “first” so that everyone else is just following. All businesses no matter their size can make long term as well as immediate changes that not only help their bottom line but do something for our air quality and dependence on fossil fuels.
