Find or Share Ripe, Home-Grown Local Produce with RipeNearMe

by , 06/09/14

If you’ve ever had a surplus of produce from your garden and didn’t know what to do with it, or wished that someone nearby had some berries you could trade your zucchini for, you’re in luck. RipeNear.Me is a new website + app that allows people to sell or give away bumper crops of fruits and vegetables, making local food a global project. It has had a successful early life and now has 3,000 members, but it needs to grow: In June, RipeNear.Me began a crowdfunding campaign that will expand the site’s ability to bring fresh, local produce to everyone’s table. Sign up to start looking for fresh food near you or offering your own, and while you’re there, be sure to visit the crowdfunding page to see how your help can make this great site even better.
