Gallery: Fired Up Porcelain Globe Lamp...

Have you ever imagined what earth will look like decades from now when global warming is out of control? Or when rising sea levels swallow up our shorelines? Designer Deger Cengiz has, and it looks beautiful. But don’t be fooled, because his gorgeous porcelain global warming lamp predicts the absolute worst.

Hand sculpted from porcelain, this amazing lamp is fired up in a kiln at very high temperatures. The heat melts and warps the globe, manifesting an artistic visual of what our planet could look like if we don’t arrest climate change.

The new globe features collapsed northern ice caps and compromised continental land masses, while the red light emanating from the lamp’s core acts as an additional warning that our planet is fragile.

The global warming lamp is on sale at VOOS furniture for $500.
